Pack up the family and head to The Pier for a silly
afternoon of Saturday bonding. Entertainers such as
local favorites Tropical Tom and face-painter Heather
Tankersley, along with a host of activities, provide
big-time amusement for families wanting to enjoy some
old-fashioned fun. If you don't spot entertainers right
off the bat, don't worry; they're strolling about and
working the crowd, and they're sure to run into you
(sometimes literally) sooner or later.

Museum
of Science & Industry
For nearly 40 years, the Museum of Science and Industry
(MOSI) has evolved with the dynamic field of scientific
education. The museum boasts more than 450 interactive
exhibits in all areas of scientific persuasion, as
well as Florida's first IMAX dome theater. Since
1996, the museum has expanded and created the Back
Woods Nature Center. Animal and plant life thrives
in this protected environment, made accessible to
visitors and students by a well-marked path. The
BioWorks Butterfly Garden lets you view a free-flying
butterfly garden. The crisp colors and graceful gliding
of these winged creatures makes this exhibition a
must-see for children and adults of all ages.
